We are delighted to present an exciting project at the Family Hotel Huber in South Tyrol: a unique indoor playground that brings nature indoors and stimulates children’s imaginations. The hotel offers a variety of experiences, and our indoor playground complements these offers with a weather-independent opportunity for families to have fun.
Our aim was to create an indoor play world that brings the natural environment indoors in an innovative way, combining excitement and adventure. The focal point of this fairytale landscape is a large tree with a secret cave that can be reached via tree stumps. Here, children can climb, play and stimulate their imagination while developing their motor skills. Right next to the tree, a swing invites parents to relax while the children experience new things at the wall play area.
When planning our playground, it was important to us that the space not only offers physical challenges, but also cognitive and social ones. In addition to classic elements such as climbing and balancing, there are also exciting discovery areas that encourage children’s creativity and interaction.
In addition to fun play, the development of social and cognitive skills is also taken into account. The tractor at the center of the playscape is a perfect example of this philosophy. With moving cogwheels, a crawling tunnel and a seesaw spring, the children experience realistic role play and learn to work together in small teams. The tractor is surrounded by themed play areas, such as horses to ride or bales of straw to climb on. These elements encourage children’s creativity and social interaction.
The indoor playground not only offers physical challenges, but also promotes sensory perception. One example is the ball track in the chicken coop, which invites children to follow the ball through an exciting route. At the same time, there is a secret passage with a hidden slide that invites further discoveries – the perfect mix of adventure and learning. Acoustic and visual effects enhance the experience and make the play equipment something very special.
Our playground design at the Familienhotel Huber is more than just a place to play. It promotes children’s motor skills, cognition and social skills in a way that combines fun and adventure. With every piece of high-quality playground equipment we design, we focus on quality and functionality so that children can feel safe and inspired. So little ones can discover the world in their own way – hands on!
