From locomotives to mines: a play world full of surprises

What do a crawl-through cauldron, a goat in a mine and track 9 ¾ have in common? That’s right – they are all part of a very special project: our indoor playground with imaginative play equipment at Miniatur Wunderland Hamburg!

Yes, you read that right: Where tiny trains normally whizz through imposing miniature worlds, we, as a playground equipment manufacturer, were allowed to create our very own world of adventure – in original size and with lots of imagination. The result? A playground design that will bring a smile to the face of even the biggest miniature fans.

Right in the middle: our play train with locomotive, wagon and track. Equipped with a wobbly seat, motorized wheel and real light effects, the locomotive not only makes children’s eyes light up. The wagon with coins, wheels and a transparent floor provides the perfect overview – and the carved track traffic light creates a real train feeling.

Magical details for young and old explorers

Those who prefer to dive down will end up in the mine with a net bridge. With a stainless steel slide, secret tunnel entrance, “dynamite” box ascent and the legendary “rock crystal”, you can go deep into the adventure here. And yes, there is even an ibex with indirect lighting.

The station concourse is quieter, but no less magical – with benches, lanterns and the legendary platform 9 ¾. A place to take a deep breath, hide away or simply marvel.
