Developments in the leisure industry and inspiring insights at VDFU ConnEX 2026

The VDFU ConnEX 2026 in Berlin was once again a great source of inspiration for Kletterparadies. After many years in the amusement park industry, Christian Angenvoort was able to see many familiar faces again, refresh long-standing contacts and meet exciting new people at the same time.

As the VDFU announced, the leisure industry is continuing to develop extremely dynamically: day trip destinations are increasingly turning into short break destinations, seasonal businesses are expanding their offers into year-round concepts, and holistic family experiences continue to gain in importance.

The workshops offered a varied and informative spectrum of these current trends and clearly showed how important it has become to invest in individual family experiences.

Focus on individual experiences: projects and expertise of the climbing paradise

A “small, round” topic was also the marble run, which is very popular with guests, increases the length of stay and makes a measurable contribution to turnover. The Kletterparadies can impress with its special expertise and impressive reference projects, such as the Familotel Kaiserhof.

The Miniatur Wunderland Hamburg is another example of how valuable customized experiences are. For this highly successful attraction, we developed and implemented a thematically appropriate, individual play area. This attracts additional visitors, extends the length of their stay and remains a lasting memory.
